Candidates can apply for vacancies of any one RRB only through ONLINE application mode by visiting the official website of RRBs listed at Para 20.0.
A) Read all the Information and Instructions detailed in the CEN thoroughly before starting the filling up of application by clicking the CEN 2/2018 Link on the RRB website. It is essential that the candidate understands all information of the notification correctly to prevent any mistakes while filling application.
b) Scanned documents JPEG format to be kept ready before filling the application In order to ensure speedy filling up of application by the candidates, they should keep the following documents ready in digital form before logging in to the application page.
Candidate Photograph in color: JPEG image of size 20 to 50KB
SC/ST Certificate (Only for candidates seeking free travel pass): JPEG image of size 50 to 100KB
Scribe Photograph in color (Wherever applicable): JPEG image of size 20 to 50KB
c) Check RRB Wise Vacancies for the qualification and Reservation Category of the candidate: The candidates are advised to check the Vacancy Table in this CEN to ascertain the vacancies notified against all RRBs for their qualification and ensure that the RRB to which they wish to fill in the online application is having vacancy for their qualification and community/category subject to eligibility in terms of age and medical standards. 
Further for identifying RRB wise vacancies dynamically as per their eligibility Click on the CEN 2/2018 Vacancy table and follow as below:
i) First table shows the RRB wise summary of vacancy of posts to have a glimpse of vacancy scenario in all RRBs.
ii) Further to ascertain the comprehensive details of vacancy of all the posts notified against an RRB, candidate may select the RRB from the drop down list of RRBs from search menu and can view the vacancies of all the notified posts against the Railway attached to that RRB.
iii) After scrutinizing the vacancy details, candidates may decide the RRB for which they wish to apply duly ensuring that vacancy exists for their qualification and community/PWD/ExSM category. Once the RRB has been selected and registration is completed, change of RRB will not be permitted under any circumstances. Candidates are further advised to visit website(s) of RRBs frequently to get the latest information on various stages of recruitment process or any changes about this notification. The onus is on the candidates to prove with valid documents that all the information submitted by them in the ONLINE application is true.
CANDIDATES PLEASE NOTE:
Candidates are advised to keep their personal mobile number and personal valid e-mail active throughout the recruitment process, as all communications from RRBs will be only through SMS/email. RRBs will not entertain any request for change of mobile number and e-mail address at any stage. Candidates are advised to note and preserve their Registration Number for further stages of recruitment process / correspondence with RRB concerned.

STEPS TO SUBMIT ONLINE APPLICATION
After completing the process at para 15 a, b, & c above, click on the “New Registration” link on the home page of the Online Registration portal of CEN 2/2018 for the recruitment of various posts in Level 1 of 7th CPC Pay matrix and carry out the following:-
a. Confirm that you have read and understood the instructions clearly by clicking the check box.
b. Select the RRB to which you would like to apply. Please be aware that, RRB once selected cannot be changed after registration.
c. Registration Details: Enter your name, Date of Birth and Father's name as per para 1.7 of General Instruction, Mother's name, Aadhar number, State, SSLC/Matric Roll number, Year of passing SSLC/MATRIC, mobile number and email-id and then submit for registration. Candidates with ITI/NAC qualification alone can enter Roll number/year of passing for ITI/NAC qualification instead of SSLC/Matric. Before submitting for registration, ensure and confirm that all the information furnished above are correct as the details furnished for registration cannot be changed later. Please note that the email ID used for the registration must be yours and unique. Also note that both the email and mobile number will be verified during the Online application process with an OTP. 
d. Verification of email ID and mobile number through OTP : On submitting the Registration details, an OTP will be sent to your email and another OTP to your mobile number. Click on the “Verify through OTP” link on the Home page of the online registration portal and enter the OTP received on your email and the OTP received on your mobile in the respective fields. You can proceed with the registration only by entering both the OTPs, Hence it is advised to ensure that the email id and mobile number is entered correctly during the Registration. On verification of both the email id and mobile number, an unique registration number is generated for the candidate. Candidate should note and preserve their registration number for later reference during the recruitment process and RRB will not entertain any request seeking registration number. Candidates can proceed with the online application by clicking on the “Candidate Login” link on the home page using the registration number.
e. In the Part 1 of application page, provide the details of Educational qualification, Community, Gender, Religion, ExSM, PWD, CCAA, Minority, Economically backward class, Age relaxation eligibility category as applicable and other details. 
f. On completion of application details as above, the candidate will be directed to the payment page to choose payment mode i.e Bank(online-net banking/credit card/debit card & offline-Challan) or Post Office- Challan as explained in para 7.1 and complete the payment process. Please note the last date and time specified for each mode of payment and submit the application well in time.
g. In case of online payment, you will be automatically directed to Part II of application for filling up additional details. Those paying through Bank-offline mode, the payment confirmation may take about an hour and hence they have to again login after 60 minutes and look for confirmation of payment status. The time period for payment confirmation shall vary from 24hrs to 48 hrs in case of Post Office payment. On getting the confirmation status, the candidate can start filling Part II of the application.
Candidates eligible for examination fee refund should provide the details of beneficiary account in which they would like to receive the refund viz. Beneficiary name, Bank name, Account Number and IFSC Code in the online application.

About :

In exercise of the powers conferred by, sub-section (1) of Section 37 of the Apprentices Act, 1961 (52 of 1961) and after consulting the Central Apprenticeship Council, the Central Government hereby makes the following rules in supersession of the Apprenticeship Rules, 1962, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement -
(1) These rules may be called the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Definitions -
In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires:-
(1) "Act" means the Apprentices Act,1961 (52 of 1961);
(2) "Diploma Holder" means a person who holds a diploma in engineering or technology or equivalent qualification granted by a State Board of Technical Education, or recognized by the State Government concerned or the Central Government.
(2A) “Diploma in non-engineering” means a person who holds a diploma in nonengineering or equivalent qualification granted by a Board or University or recognised by the concerned State Government or the Central  Government, as the case may be;
(3) "Engineering Graduate" means a person, who(a) 
holds a degree in engineering or technology granted by

(i)a statutory University, or
(ii) an institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament;
(b) has passed the graduateship examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to degree; 
or
(c) holds the qualifications which exempt him from Sections A and B examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India).

Standard of Education  :

(1) A person shall be eligible for being engaged as a trade apprentice - if he satisfies the minimum educational qualifications as specified in
Schedule-1.
(2) A person shall be eligible for being engaged as a Graduate or Technician or Technician (Vocational) apprentice if he satisfies one of the minimum educational qualifications specified in Schedule-IA:
Provided that: -
(a) no Engineering Graduate or Diploma Holder or Vocational Certificate holder who had training or job experience for a period one year or more, after the attainment of these qualifications shall be eligible for being
engaged as an apprentice under the Act;
(b) no Sandwich Course Student shall be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the Act after passing the final examination of the technical institution wherein such student is undergoing the course unless so 
approved by the Regional Central Apprenticeship Advisers;
(c) a person who has been a Graduate or Technician or Technician (Vocational) apprentice under the Act and in whose case the contract of apprenticeship was terminated for any reason whatsoever shall not be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice again under the Act without the prior approval of the Apprenticeship Adviser. 

Standard of Physical Fitness :

(1) A person shall be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice if he satisfies the minimum standards of physical fitness specified in Schedule-II. 
Provided that a person who has undergone institutional training in a school or other institution recognised by or affiliated to the National Council or the All India Council or a Statutory University or a State Board of Technical Education and has passed the examination or tests conducted by these bodies, or is undergoing institutional training in a school or institution so recognised or affiliated in order that he may require a degree or diploma in engineering or technology or certificate in vocational course or equivalent qualification shall, if he has already undergone medical examination in accordance with the rules for the admission to the school or institution, be deemed to have complied with the provisions of this rule. 

*Provided further that the standards of fitness specified for item (4) relating to "EARS" and item (6) relating to “SPEECH" of schedule II shall not apply in the case of a person who is deaf or dumb or deaf and dumb for the following trades, namely:-
(a) Building and Furniture Trades Group:
1. Plumber
2. Carpenter.
3. Furniture and Cabinet Maker.
4 Sports Goods Maker. (Wood)
(b) Draughtsmen and Surveyors Trades Group
1. Draughtsman(Civil)

Period of Apprenticeship Training :

(1) The period of apprenticeship training in the case of trade apprentices referred to in clause (a) clause (aa) and clause (b) of Section 6 of the Act shall be as specified in Schedule-I. 
(2)(a) Where a trade apprentice is unable to complete the full apprenticeship course within the periods prescribed in sub-rule (1) or to take the final test owing to illness or other circumstances beyond his control, the  stablishment
concerned shall extend the period of his apprenticeship until he completes the full apprenticeship course and the next test is held if so required by the Apprenticeship Adviser, Similar extension of the period of training may 
also be allowed in the case of those trade apprentices who having completed the course, fail in the final test. A trade apprentice who fails in the second test shall not be allowed any extension of the period of training.
(b) (i) Where a trade apprentice is unable to complete the period of apprenticeship training due to strike or lockout or layoff in an establishment where he is undergoing training and is not instrumental for the same, the period of his apprenticeship training shall be extended for a period equal to the period of strike or lockout or layoff , as the case may be, and he shall be paid stipend during the period of such strike or lockout or layoff or for a maximum period of six months, which ever is less;
(ii) If the strike or lockout or layoff is likely to continue for a longer period, the employer shall follow the procedure for novation of contract of apprenticeship of a trade apprentice referred to in clause (i) with the other
employer as specified in section 5 of the Act.
(2) In the case of trade apprentices other than those covered by clause (a) of section 6 of the Act, the first six months of the period of training shall be treated as period of probation.

Payment of stipend to apprentices:

(1) The minimum rate of stipend per month payable to trade apprentices shall be follows, namely:-
(a) During the first year of training : Seventy per cent. of minimum wage of semi-skilled workers notified by the respective State or Union territory
(b) During the second year of training : Eighty per cent. of minimum wage of semiskilled workers notified by the respective State or Union territory
(c) During the third and fourth year of training : Ninety per cent. of minimum wage of semiskilled workers notified by the respective
State or Union territory: Provided that in the case where the minimum rate of wage for a trade is not notified by the State Government or Union territory, then, the maximum of minimum wages of the Scheduled Employment notified by such State Government or Union territory for semi-skilled workers shall be taken into account for paying the stipend in respect of that trade: Provided further that in the case of trade apprentices referred to in clause
(a) of section 6 of the Act, the period of training already undergone by them in a school or other institution recognised by the National Council, shall be taken into account for the purpose of determining the rate of stipend payable”.

Hours of work :

(1) The weekly hours of work of a trade apprentice undergoing practical training shall be as follows, namely:-
(a) The total number of hours per week shall be 42 to 48 hours (including the time spent on Related Instruction)
(b) Trade apprentices undergoing basic training shall ordinarily work for 42 hours per week including the time spent on Related Instruction.
(c) Trade apprentices during the second year of apprenticeship shall work for 42 to 45 hours per week including the time spent on Related Instruction.
(d) Trade apprentice during the third and subsequent years of apprenticeship shall work for the same number of hours per week as the workers in the trade in the establishment in which the trade apprentice is undergoing apprenticeship training.
(2) No trade apprentice shall be engaged on such training between the hours of 10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m.. except with the prior approval of the Apprenticeship Adviser who shall give his approval if he is satisfied that it is
in the interest of the training of the trade apprentice or in public interest. 
(3) Graduate, Technician and Technician (Vocational ) Apprentices shall work according to the normal hours of work of the department in the establishment to which they are attached for training.

The Academy was originally founded in 1930 at Dehradun. However it was soon closed down and the infrastructure used to establish Indian Military Academy. The National Academy of Indian Railways, formerly known as Railway Staff College was then setup at its present regal sylvan surroundings at Vadodara, in 1952. It is housed in the Pratap Vilas Palace (built in 1914 AD) surrounded by lush green lawns and designed by C.F. Stevens in the renaissance style. The property comprising of 55 acres of garden and wooded land, enlivened by the calls of peacocks and migratory birds, was purchased from the Gaikwads (erstwhile rulers) of Vadodara.

Role of National Academy of Indian Railways
Railways in India, an important segment of the country's transport infrastructure, were started about 160 years ago. Keeping pace with changing times the railways have a competent, hard working and skilled workforce of about 1.3 million with tremendous potential to excel in almost all professional areas.

Education Qualification:

The candidates who want to apply for RRC Jaipur Recruitment, should have  passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with at least 50% marks in aggregate from recognized Board and also possess National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/ SCVT

Age :

To apply for RRC Recruitment, the maximum age of the candidates must be 25 years as per the RRC Jaipur Apprentice Recruitment 2017. Upper Age Relaxation will be given to the reserved category candidates as per the norms of the organization.

Method of Selection :

Selection will be on the basis of Medical Examination/ Merit List. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks in matriculation (with minimum 50% (aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done. the panel will be on the basis of simple average of marks in the matriculation and ITI.

At last, hit on “Submit” button and take a print out of filled application form for further use in future.

Fee Payment :

About RRB Mumbai:

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Mumbai functions under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. It is primarily responsible for recruiting the group 'C' staff.

Railway Recruitment Board, Mumbai, is carrying out recruitment for Mumbai Division & HQ of Western Railway, and Mumbai, Nagpur, Solapur, Pune, Bhusawal Division and HQ of Central Railway, Nanded Division of South Central Railway and Nagpur Division of South East Central Railway. Earlier RRB Mumbai (then Known as Railway Service Commission) was located at Churchgate. In February 1986 it was shifted to Mumbai Central. The RRB building at Mumbai Central has been rebuilt in October 2000.

Selection Method of RRB Mumbai:

  1. The selection process is subject to rules and regulations issued by Railway Board, Ministry of Railways ( Government of India) which includes reservation of jobs for Schedule caste (SC), Schedule Tribes (ST), other backward classes (OBC), Ex Servicemens etc.
  2. Employment Notifications calling for applications from eligible candidates are published in local News Papers Employment news / Rojgar samachar and an indicative advertisement is published in local news papers.
  3. The time period given to apply in response to notifications is not less than 30 days. The applications received in the time period prescribed are scrutinized with reference to criteria published in the notification.
  4. Schedule of Written / On-line examination is also published in News papers and employment news / Rojgar samachar. Eligible candidates are informed of their date and center of their examination by call letters.
  5. List of Candidates successful in the examination is published in the newspapers, internet and successful candidates are also advised by post.
  6. Candidates declared successful in Written / On-line examination are called for Aptitude test / Type Test / Documents verification / Interviews etc.
  7. Viva-voce test (interviews) have been eliminated in most of RRB examinations w.e.f. 18.3.99. To see procedure which is applicable for the selections of various categories of posts click here.
  8. Final Panel is then formed as per merit, requirement and final result is published in Employment news / Rojgar samachar and intimation letters are sent to successful candidates advising them - their allotted Railways / Zone.

The candidates applying for the post(s) of JE Group - Grade pay Rs 4200/- (Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical &Metallurgical Assistant) and SSE Group - Grade pay Rs 4600/- (Senior Section Engineer,  Chief Depot Material Superintendent), should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions prescribed for the post/examination.
