Duty of Loco Pilot : 

• Whistle , and signals exchange with guard as well as station employee (station master, pointman etc.)
• During ride, continuously watching the upcoming signals, symbols, speed limit board, traffic and engineering board etc.
• Updation of records, data, log sheet etc.
• Helps Loco Pilot, while trouble shooting during engine failure.
• Recoupling after alarm chain pulling done by passengers.
