(Notification) Apprenticeship Training at Rail Coach Factory (Kapurthala) - 2016 "Notice No.A-1/2015"

On line applications are invited in the prescribed format for engagement of 202 Act-Apprentices for imparting training in Technical Training Centre, Rail Coach Factory (Kapurthala) under the Apprenticeship Act. 1961, for the following trades. The eligible candidates can register their applications online on the prescribed proforma on the authorized website www.rcf.indianrai 1 ways.gov.in of Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala upto 08.01.2016 upto 1700 hours. On 08-01.2016, after 1700 hours, this link will be inactive.

Seat Details:

Eligibility:

  • The minimum eligibility criteria for applying for Act Apprenticeship shall be matriculation with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • The candidates will be considered for engagement as Act Apprentice only for the above mentioned trades on the basis of merit of marks obtained in matriculation.
  • Reservation of seats for SC,ST & OBC candidates will be 15%, 7.5% and 27 % respectively.
  • 3% of total seats are reserved each for Physically Handicapped persons and Exservicemen, their children and children of armed force personnel.
  • Candidates are to be of 15 to 24 years of age as on 08.01.2016. Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years in case of OBC candidates & 10 years for physically handicapped persons.
  • Stipend will be paid as per extant rules.

Mode of selection:

i) The candidates must have obtained 50% aggregate marks in matriculation. The selection will be done on the merit of marks obtained in matriculation subject to verification of other certificates. 1.5 time candidates to the notified vacancies/slots will be called on merit basis for scrutiny of documents.

ii) Those who qualify after scrutiny of documents and placed on select list will have to undergo a medical test by paying requisite fee and those who are found fit shall have to execute a contract before actually being enrolled for training. If he/she is a minor, his/her guardian has to enter into a contract of apprentices with the employer.
