Metro Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA) Co. Limited is a 50:50 Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) jointly owned by Government of India and Government of Gujarat
is entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase 1.

MEGA invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for appointment of key senior, middle / junior level management positions. The following posts / appointments will
be only on “Contract” with min.3 years to 5 years, on standard terms & conditions of the Organization.

Qualification And Experience:

Sr. No.1: Deputy General Manager (Rolling Stock) – No. of posts 1 (One)

Candidate must be a B.E / B. Tech (Electrical)/(Electrical & Electronics)engineering graduate having minimum 15 years and out of which about 8 years experience in planning, design, preparation of technical specification, administration of contracts, installation, testing, commissioning and statutory approvals of modern electric rolling stock in construction projects of railways / metros/ other PSUs/ private sector dealing with Rolling Stock Systems. Also he/she should be conversant with international competitive bidding process, computerized environment working and latest rolling stock technologies etc. for underground/ elevated metro/rail projects in urban & suburban environment including consultancy works related to urban rail projects. Candidates with experience of working in modern urban metro rail systems will be given preference.

Sr. No.2: Deputy General Manager (Traction) – No. of posts 1 (One)

Candidate must be a B.E / B. Tech (Electrical)/ (Electrical & Electronics) engineering graduate having minimum 15 years and out of which about 8 years experience in planning, design, preparation of technical specification, administration of contracts, installation, testing, commissioning and statutory approvals of traction power works including receiving sub-stations, traction sub-station, auxiliary sub-station and power distribution works in construction projects of railways / metros/ other PSUs/ private sector dealing with electric traction system . Also he/she should be conversant with international competitive bidding process, computerized environment working and latest technologies in electric traction system etc. for underground/ elevated metro/rail projects in urban & suburban environment including consultancy works related to urban rail projects. Candidates with experience of working in modern urban metro rail systems with 750V DC third rail traction will be given preference.

Sr. No.3: Deputy General Manager (Operations) – No. of posts 1 (One)

Candidate must be a graduate from University / Institute recognized by the Govt. of India or a State Government, having minimum overall 15 years of experience of rail sector and out of which about 5 years experience of Metro Rail Operations is essential. He / She should have worked in main line and depot operations of trains, Stations and OCC. Experience in CMRS certification and the commissioning of new line is preferable. Also, preference will be given to candidates having experience in operations of a Metro Railway System.

Sr. No.4: Deputy General Manager (Signaling) – No. of posts 1 (One)

Candidate must be a BE /B.Tech (Electronics/ Electronics and Communication) engineering graduate from University / Institute recognized by the Govt. of India or a State Government, having minimum 15 years of experience and out of which 5 years experience in planning, design, preparation of technical specification, administration of contracts, installation, testing and commissioning of signaling and telecommunication works in a Metro Rail System / Main Line Railway System. Preference will be given to candidates having experience in construction, installation, testing and commissioning of Signaling and associated telecommunication works on a Metro Railway System.

Sr. No.5: Deputy General Manager (Architecture) – No. of posts 1 (One)

Candidate must be a B.Arch engineering graduate having minimum 15 years of experience and out of which 5 years experience in planning of elevated/ underground Metro stations layouts, Metro Station Designs and checking conformity of station layout to NFPA standards. Candidates having experience of designing large number of elevated Metro stations which are in operation and Management of contracts relating to the large infrastructure projects will be preferred. He /She should have exposure to use design software like CADD, Photoshop, 3D Max, Revit etc. Also he / she shall be conversant with the procedures for obtaining statutory clearance from local authorities.

Sr. No.6: Deputy General Manager (Underground Construction) – No. of posts 1 (One)

Candidate must be B.E/B.Tech (Civil) engineering graduate having minimum 15 years of experience in large infra project execution environment, out of which 5 years in Metro underground construction including with deep excavation support systems, design / construction of underground civil structures, underground stations, design & construction of tunnel by TBM, C&C methods. Experience in top-down construction methodology in urban locations will be added advantage. Candidate must familiar with management of contracts relating to the large infrastructure projects. Quality Control & Assurance System in civil construction, Safety Implementation, Programme Monitoring, IS / International Codes for construction of civil
underground structures is desirable.

Sr. No.7: Assistant General Manager (Electrical & Mechanical) – No. of posts 1 (One)

Candidate must be a B.E / B. Tech (Electrical)/ (Electrical & Electronics)/(Mechanical) engineering graduate having minimum overall 10 years, and out of which about 5 years experience in planning, design, preparation of technical specification, administration of contracts, installation, testing, commissioning and statutory approvals of electrical and mechanical services works including HVAC/ECS, Tunnel Ventilation, LT distribution system and Lighting, Lift/Escalators, Fire Fighting, BMS, and earthing etc, in construction projects of railways / metros/ other PSUs/ private sector. Candidate should be conversant with international competitive bidding process, computerized environment working and latest technologies in electrical and mechanical services etc. for underground/ elevated metro/rail stations & Depots in urban & suburban environment including consultancy works related to urban rail projects. Candidates with experience of working in modern urban metro rail systems (elevated & underground) will be given preference. Besides this, candidate having work experience in matters relating to diversion of electrical Utilities, preparation of Tender Documents for Utility Shifting Works, evaluation and awarding of contracts and monitoring of progress is desirable. Also candidate will be required to interact with other departments as well as Civic Bodies of State Government.

Sr. No.8: Assistant General Manager (Depot.) – No. of posts 1 (One)

Candidate must be a degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent from an institute of repute. The candidate should have overall 10 years’ of experience and about 5 years of specific experience in planning, procurement, contract management, installation, testing and commissioning of “Maintenance Depots” of Railway / Metro systems including layout, specifications of various ‘Machinery & Plant’ and their installation/testing and commissioning.

Candidates with experience of working in modern urban metro rail systems with 750V DC third rail traction will be given preference.
